23. Mascot

I went to jolibee together with Sir. After eating, bumalik na kami sa school, and then luckily, nakasalubong ko si jolibee! a very Jolly Bee.

Then, napathink ko, bakit meron bang mascot? so i seek help kay mr. wiki... sabi nya ang mascot raw ay "person, animal, or object adopted by a group as a symbolic figure especially to bring them good luck"

22. food catering services

hmmm.. yummy!

"Starting your own catering business can be both financially rewarding and fun. Whether you cater events on a full-time or a part-time basis, the opportunities are excellent. Each catered event is a new experience and challenge with a new group of people. With the rewards and fun come demanding work, for which you will need stamina and the ability to work under pressure."

But wait! I have no plans of putting my own food catering services now (but maybe sooner, i have to find myself a good, excellent and handsome (husband) chef- AMBISYOSA!). But indeed (from what i have observed from my Tita's catering services), it was really "financially" rewarding and fun.

the spirit of bayanihan hehehehe

Financially rewarding: Kasi malaki ang kita, the ingredients are not that expensive.

1 cup of rice.. (minsan unlimited din ito)
dessert (could be brownie (1 slice) or cake (1 slice pa rin) and minsan fruit salad na nakalagay sa cup)
then drinks (water and 8 oz. softdrinks)

Materials + Overhead + Labor + Profit = Price

ayan!.. still malaki pa rin ang kita.. kaya financially rewarding nga and if satisfies ang customer sa lasa ng food, then its very very rewarding... but its a really hard job (i guess) hehehehe..

ang caterer during our ruby celebration

aside sa menu, dapat ding iconsider ang food presentation, dapat katatakam-takam na sa unang tingin pa lang. very presentable and appealing dapat ang mga pagkain, just like below:

see... bongga!

and aside sa food, pati na rin dapat ang tables and venue, neatly and wonderfully arranged. Dapat din attractive to the eyes ang mantle, pati na rin ang tissue holder.

di bah... creative!

Every catering event is a new experience kasi uve got to meet different types of people (i mean the characters and not the kingdom they belong). Minsan nakaka-encounter sila ng very formal people in a very formal event, meron ding parang typical na b-day party, minsan nagiging childrens party na, but then, kahit anong level pa sila ng crowd, every service is a challenge...

so if ur planning to put up a catering services:

"To be successful in the catering business, one must produce delicious food that is safe and wholesome."

"Keep hot foods "HOT" and cold foods "COLD."
